AlanVW 0 Posted November 13, 2004 My Exauhst is knackered and there are already some bolts snapped in the downpipe. problem being I need a new downpipe but Ii have been looking at it and am just wondering how do I get the downpipe off, there dosent seem to be much room to get at it. has anyone done this before and have any advice they can give me ? do I need to drop subframe or what to get it out ? h100vw 0 Posted November 13, 2004 You will need to drop the subframe to get the DP out. I don't thijnk new calipers are too dear from GSF. Although a scrappy would be cheaper. Assuming its a 16V you could use calipers from a MK2 Golf 16V 88 on or most Passats from 88 0n that have vented discs. Gavin Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
