mildmanneredjanitor 0 Posted November 18, 2004 I know this is sacrilege to most of you... Just found it at last... I got my towbar from here: Watling Engineers Limited Took a bit of jiggery pokery to fit (much easier to take bumper off first if I remember?). But no drilling to the car :-P (apart from for the electrics) But having the bracket is an ideal compromise, I can use the trailer or bicycle carrier or both simultaneously! :-P Attached: Pic of towbar with trailer attached, underside and installation instructions
coolrado 0 Posted November 18, 2004 sounds pretty cheap only problem is i want a removable type of hitch so you cant see it at all when its removed but i might be able to get a local engineering company to alter it for me  thanks for posting this up 8)

Kevin Bacon 5 Posted November 18, 2004 Looks like a good one and one which doesn't mean writing off the bumper during fitment. Does it attach to the bumper bolts? I'd rather attach a towbar to my arse than my car, but it looks pretty impressive all the same
Henny 0 Posted November 18, 2004 I can see one of these in my near future... ;) 8) (for my parent's Seat Leon!)

mildmanneredjanitor 0 Posted November 18, 2004 Looks like a good one and one which doesn't mean writing off the bumper during fitment. Does it attach to the bumper bolts? There are holes already in place which are covered by tape (on mine anyway) but not on the later ones I believe? Have a look at the installation destructions I posted. :agrue: :brickwall: :pukeright: Needs must my good man! I can see one of these in my near future... 8) I'm such a trail blazing trend-setter!
coolrado 0 Posted November 18, 2004 i wouldnt normally put one on mine but its a damn site better than putting very muddy mountain bikes on the roof or boot and if i get a removable one no one will tell the difference, plus its only four bolts to remove the whole thing  trust me it wont be towing any caravans just a very light alloy bike trailer 8)

Now where's that embarrasing side on nude shot of Mr Haywire gone...
mildmanneredjanitor 0 Posted November 21, 2004 OK, took wife, kids and dog out today in the van :-P , and took a piccie to show how the cycle carrier looks. Not the missing trailer board... Bit of a squeeze, but you can actually fit three bikes on it.
