.A.N.T. 0 Posted December 2, 2004 Hey, how´s it all going?? Got an issue with the Corrado... It´s having issues getting into gear. It seems that the clutch plate is sticking. If you switch off the engine, put it in 1st, dip the clutch then start it starts and moves, but then getting 2nd, 3rd etc is very difficult, having to wait for revs to match the gearbox speed then slotting it in... It feels like the clutch isn´t disengaging properly... Is this the gearbox on it´s way out?? I´ve replaced the clutch about a year ago and it hasn´t been driven hard since. RAC said it was more than likely just water in the clutch rusting the plates shut. Has anyone else had this happen??? Cheers.... Ant
coolrado 0 Posted December 2, 2004 could be the clutch master or slave cylinder has the brake/clutch fluid level dropped?
Henny 0 Posted December 3, 2004 yeah, I'd go with slave cylinder too... :| Bleed it through a little (same as bleeding brakes, only you'll need someone to push/pull the clutch pedal as it won't auto return from the bottom) and see if that helps... if it does, then you almost certainly will need a new slave cylinder in the next few months... 8)
