urgent (ish) help with vw leccy connectors

ok my g60s inj harness is baked up and horrible, i need to buy new male and female termianls

 

ive seen some similar ones vehicle wiring products but im not 100% sure what ones i need

 

can anyone help??? h100vw are you there :cry: need some help mate i pm'd ya

Steve, I think you want the 4145 4 off, 5962 8 off, maybe 1900 4 off.

 

Also for the end of the rail a 192166 1 off and 192174 2 off and another 1900. Ther are also some rubber seals that you could use instead of the boots.

I think the 1MM cable will be plenty up to the job. Colours to suit, red and black? ref 16

You might want to buy a crimping tool as well if you are feeling flush!!

cheers for the reply gav, do you think those terminals would fit into my vw plastic blocks???

 

the seals you mention..are you thinking 192177/8??

 

would any of the budget crimpers be worth getting....cant afford loadsa at the moment

 

you say 1mm cable....i dunno if you got my pm, but the original measures 3mm dia and goes onto 2.2mm

 

anyone else reading this......go and check your loom mine is toast

The lads at VWP will advise on the seals, I haven't bought any so I don't know which ones. The 1mm is the cross-sectional area of the conductor. You need to compare that with that off the original not the outside diameters.

 

The budget ones would do you. Again quiz the VWP lads.

 

They do have the terminals for those connectors. You could take one out and send it in. Thats what I did. I have used them all now and haven't a scooby what they were.

 

They were about 50p each.
