Ford 0 Posted February 25, 2005 Hhhhm my corrado funds have been restricted for this coming year, due to moving house - and with a joint acc. I don't think I will get away with breaking the rules!!! So it will be a year of plotting and planning for next year. Although I may try a few sneaky splash outs on the C... funded by various ebay sales... will see. But I want to at least recat the car and maybe get rid of a few bodywork imperfections, apart from that just keep it on the road until next year's big spend! Joe M 0 Posted February 25, 2005 match, petrol, insurance claim. thats about it really. Now theres an option I hadnt considered for mine... My original plans for this year were, get cams fitted and remap, cars practically finished, spend money on track days. What ive ended up with is, cams and remap done, 1 trackday leaving dead engine, plans for rest of year. Get car running again in one form or another.

tug 0 Posted February 25, 2005 Got quite big plans for me Rado this year... Went to get a quote for some general tidying up (dents, rusty bits, etc.) from a bodyshop & it transpires that my car has had a not-too-great respray in the past. So now the car's getting a general tidy up and a full respray in the summer! :) Engine-wise, I'm currently pricing up parts for a full engine rebuild. Its nearly done 130K, I seriously doubt the timing chains & tensioners have been done and I've got at least one humped valve stem oil seal. Thought I might as well go the whole hog! My Dad's a mechanic, so we'll be doing all the work ourselves...wish me luck!
Red=Fast 0 Posted February 25, 2005 This yeah some good things are coming to the G60. Starting this list with parts that are ordered and on their way: • Blue tinted spherical side mirrors • Rear European plate holder to replace the US plate holder • Hood lifts • 3 slat badge less grill with built in eyebrow • New aluminum door pins to replace the cheap plastic ones • Door handle repair kit – to replace the stock parts and make them last longer Now for the things I am saving up for: • I need to source down my oil leaking issue and depending on how that goes and 2.0L bottom end might be in the works. • Custom made full cage to keep me nice and safe =] (I am going to have my friend who made this one for his volvo do mine - click the links below to check them out) http://www.pbase.com/volvo242ti/image/24344900 http://www.pbase.com/volvo242ti/image/24346601 http://www.pbase.com/volvo242ti/image/24346593 • Lysholm supercharger kit • FMIC • Paint re-spray – removal of dents, possible install of Audi door handles, shaving side moldings, shaving rear badge, antenna removed, possible filling or removal of the weather striping on the top of the car - a long time family friend is opening a body shop, so I am getting a huge hook up. bcstudent 0 Posted February 26, 2005 I'd like to say "install a TDi engine"...but there's little chance of that happening. If it passes its next MOT in August I'll refrain from taking a hammer to it.
kebabman 0 Posted February 26, 2005 Hmm everything engine related for he VR is out of my price range.....so I think a set of Yoko 059 cut-slicks for my spare speedlines, and save the rest for trackdays....oh and the repairs that inevitably follow
