dnac 0 Posted February 25, 2005 Hi, I hope someone can help, I really want to buy a G60, but a friend who knows someone with one has told me that the supercharger needs rebuilding at least every 12 months. Is this correct, or is the guy just thrashing the car and therefore recking the charger? Thanks
woody 0 Posted February 25, 2005 talk to 16vg60 on this forum. He rebulds chargers. Usually about every 20k depending on porting ect. I think a standard rebuild is about £
h100vw 0 Posted February 25, 2005 Every 12 months is well excessive. they should run 2 years even on a 68mm pulley. Gavin
goodridge 0 Posted February 27, 2005 But not if he runs a 65mm and does 20k a year :|
G60Jet 1 Posted February 27, 2005 40,000 mile on a 68mm, 60,000 on a standard pulley MAX
dubmad 0 Posted February 27, 2005 how long will a charger last on a 65mm pulley?
stevemac 0 Posted February 27, 2005 dubmad, Really depends how you drive the car - most rebuilders will recommend that the seals are changed every 20k & full rebuild every 40k.
