h100vw 0 Posted August 13, 2005 All MK3s with the nasty multispoke wheels, whose name I forget have 288s. 8, 16 and VR6. The oval indicators is about the best clue as supercharged says. The Anniversary has 288s and 16s but not to clear the brakes. Gavin

dinkus 10 Posted August 13, 2005 My '96 GTI with round side repeaters has 288 brakes and the aforementioned horrible looking wheels (pic number 2) which are actually 15s, not 16s. However, as it would appear that I've been given 280mm disks by mistake, I may go and have a forrage at the scrappy for some 312mm carriers and get me some new 312 disks instead if 288s 8) Depends on if I can find the carriers tho... I don't like them, no way to tell a 16V from an 8V, not that many have std wheels on them now. Gavin :D
NottsCounty 0 Posted August 14, 2006 Hi Guys, i've read the whole thread and am sure i'm missing something. I've got Mk4 front calipers and carriers and a set of late Mk3 VR6 discs....... But what hoses do I need?? I've currently got Goodridge going into my 280's but have a feeling they're not going to be any good. I've also got a set of MK4 hoses kicking around. Will either of these be any good or not?? Cheers :D
