check that there's voltage to the washer motor... It's an electrical plug on the washer pump which is built into the washer bottle... 8)

If there's voltage there, the pump's dead, if not, it's time to start checking fuses and then the switch and wiring... :|

Good luck!

The washer pump on my mk1 Golf gave up the ghost twice while I had it.. if it's the same or similar on the C then it's a replacable part and is easy to get out. Halfrauds sell replacemnet pumps for a few quid...

Knowing how brass monkeys it is out there it may just be frozen, blown a fuse from hard pumping (oo er!) or burnt itself out!

My pug lost a washer jet on the near side last night but was fine this morning so that was just a case of it being frozen.

Can you hear the pump going when you pull the lever? If you can then check the jets for ice or blockage... iif they are frozen and your C has heated jets then turning on the rear window heater will clear this (provided they work  )

Good luck getting it sorted
