biggrim 0 Posted March 29, 2005 Nothing serious. Was a low speed bump int a Ka and a parked Saxo. Wasn't my fault, all superficial damage (mostly scrapes). Day after I polished it too.
tug 0 Posted March 29, 2005 found a £ in the drivers seat  Makes a change from throwing money at your Rado! I had the inlet manifold and rocker cover off mine at the weekend to have a wee gander at the breather section and to see what state the chains and upper tensioner pad were in. Got a sheared ARB link as well, the joys!

randal 0 Posted March 29, 2005 vodka works, actually fixing the things is a lot better. strangely addictive too. :D out of interest, does your driver's side wiper feel wobbly? if so, your linkage may be knackered. like mine was. replaced it this weekend, and now it's top notch again - with lupo wipers too btw. well worth checking. ta randal

mark28G60 0 Posted March 29, 2005 Spent the weekend trying to sell my body on ebay to pay for the new clutch and clutch cylinder thats just been fitted to the car. Am now trying to work out how to pay for new rear calipers, exhaust, and a supercharger overhaul. Went into a porsche delearship at the weekend, guy admires car and then anounces that a boxster is cheaper on parts than my c . You think i dont know that by now........... Washed it,polished, cleaned it, then drove down a dirty track and got it filthy. Another enjoyable weekend with my car.
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted March 29, 2005 Went into a porsche delearship at the weekend, guy admires car and then anounces that a boxster is cheaper on parts than my c He's gonna say that to entice you into a sale....but he's talking carp. Brake discs, pads, exhausts, filters etc... ALL considerably more than Corrado ones....and that's before we even look at dealer servicing cost comparisons and more specialist parts! Anyway, in keeping with the thread.... last week I just drove it (1300 miles) and put petrol in it 8)
Ford 0 Posted March 29, 2005 Went into a porsche delearship at the weekend, guy admires car and then anounces that a boxster is cheaper on parts than my c . found out the same thing recently, a friend has a boxter S. When he has been in to see his dealer for a few things (like broken door handle), they've said that shouldn't have happened and they then fixed it for nothing. It isn't under warranty or anything. Also his servicing was quite cheap (£260), esp. considering its a porsche, but he hasn't had anything major done on it yet... Not done anything to the C this week, been decorating the house. Got a busy weekend planned for the C though, incl. oil change, susp. adj etc etc....
tug 0 Posted March 29, 2005 live in Bellshill now (strictly speaking just outside Glasgow) but am in and out the town most days.... u? Just over the Kingston Bridge basically. Where do you take your car to get any work done? Me old man's a mechanic, but he's going to be about 40 miles away as of Friday and my tool kit isn't that extensive! :)

randal 0 Posted March 29, 2005 yup... agreed am definately up for it..... We can tell that from the Faceparty profile ;) Ah I remember those, used to be a good giggle passing the time away at college. Friend of mine is still obsessed with it now, think he spends a lot of time just being abusive, or pretending to be a 21 year old hottie. Watch yerself, you have been warned
