Just 1.8 16V 0 Posted March 29, 2005 When I brake, not particularly hard in my 'C' the back left wheel always locks up, way before any of the other wheels feel like they are braking anyway near locking force. Its had a new set of pads all round in the last year or so and I bled it correctly and replaced the brake fluid whilst doing this. Does the 'c' have brake pressure requlator which may be at fault or could this problem lie in the master brake cylinder or even the caliper itself?, the handbrake works fine. Any ideas appreciated. stevemac 0 Posted March 29, 2005 There is a brake pressure regulator on the pass side - above the axle. Also check the RH rear caliper & make sure there's no air in the brake line.
Henny 0 Posted March 30, 2005 also check that the handbrake mechanism is fully releasing on that wheel's caliper. If it's not, then you will have a reduced travel on the piston so it will be putting more force onto the disk than it should be.
