khurrado 0 Posted May 7, 2005 right, where do istart..........how the F do you get that bloominscrew off the ignition switch, ive tried everything, even bending the screwdriver and it wont go..is it possible that the screw is not a philips?????? if so how many screwdrivers do u have to bend.please guys any hepl is appreciatesd, couldnt get the vw onre as i gopt there at 12:01 and they werent having it.so unfortunately had to do the gsf. stevemac 0 Posted May 7, 2005 There is a write-up on how to change the switch on here somewhere. To remove the phillips screw in the back of the switch you'll either need the smallest screwdriver on the planet or one of those ones with the 90 degree angled head. khurrado 0 Posted May 9, 2005 oh right...i read the post and the instructions u gave on it although i also took out the trim under the dash, that way u dont actually need a n angled screwdriver just the long bendy ones. the cars perfect now, and such an easy job ...DEFINITELY NEEDS TO BE ON THE FORUm as a sticky, along with any other DIY bits and pieces.
