ODB1 & ODB2?

Recommended Posts

OBD1 and OBD2 co-existed. All Corrados are OBD1, but late VRs have OBD2-style connectors.

Try a google search on On Board Diagnostics to get the proper answer.

Distributor or coilpack? Coilpack because it has no moving parts and therefore not subject to wear. And distributors cost the same as new coilpacks, so there's no financial saving from having one over the other either.

Thought coil packs were like quite expensive?

Whats the costs for both?

Can i and is it worth it changing to coil packs on my G60 then, if so is there any other parts i would need?

The only engine that had both, iirc was the VR6. The ECU needs to be CP aware, so you wouldn't be able to get a G60 running coil packs without changing quite a lot of the engine management.

The Distributor for a VR is upwards of £150+VAT, which isn't far off the price of a coil pack...
