Bobby 0 Posted June 14, 2005 Does anyone know or has changed the rear gearbox mount for a diesel one from the mk2 golf, i've heard that a few guys on edition 38 have done this on the mk2 golfs but will this work on a corrado 16v as the g'box is different? Thanks Bobby :D

davidwort 0 Posted June 15, 2005 Yep, same mount - GSF sell them.... they are an arse to change tho... My 16v one wasn't, just jacked the engine up a bit and removed the small alloy bracket on the box to get slightly better clearance to get the mount out of the sub-frame. Didn't really need doing to be honest, old one looked fine when I got it out and rubber still seemed pretty firm, that was at about 110,000 miles. David. g60bv 0 Posted June 16, 2005 they are easy to do. 17mm nut on top. jack the engine up, two 15mm nuts, pop it out new one in, diesel one goes straight in., might have to remove the side gear box bracket, this is a sod,
