potatonet 0 Posted June 23, 2005 when I go in a straight line, the oil pressure stays fluent at about 75 psi, about 5.2 bar. the oil pressure sender is located on the side of the head. when gassing it around turns the oil pressure goes down to about 30 psi or 2 bar, I feel that something is wrong here, anyone know of anything? h100vw 0 Posted June 23, 2005 Oil level in the sump could be low and the cornering is sloshing the oil away from the pickup. Is it worse in one direction over the other. The cure is a baffled sump and windage tray from a TDI. Or, of course, more oil.
potatonet 0 Posted June 24, 2005 porbably more oil.... more on left turns than right turns... but is still lowers to about 50 on right turns.
Henny 0 Posted June 27, 2005 you need a sump baffle/windage tray... This is a classic sign of oil-starvation due to the oil slopping over to one side of the engine during cornering...
potatonet 0 Posted June 27, 2005 well thats good, it will give me an excuse to get a nice aluminum sump at the same time!
