Tyre Pressures? Can you help

Recommended Posts

My Rado VR6 runs on 17" Wolfrace alloys with Nankang Ultra Sport NSII 205/40R17 84v (Traction A Temp A) Tyres

When I bought it I forgot to ask the owner the tyre pressures, can anyone help please.

Same sort of pressure that you'd run on any tyre, I believe - 'twixt 30 and 34psi iirc...

EDIT: posted by gradeAfailure - forgot Laura was logged in, not me...!

as you know tyre pressures are much more critical on a bike mate, i run the same size as you and i put 32 in when cold

i dont know what they are supposed to be and i find most tyre fitters say "what do you want in these" :-(

from "cold"

front 36psi

rear 32

(half laden car)

space saver wheel 60

from label on my car (1995 VR6).

I have always been fussy about things like that but age has told me it duznt seem to matter that much. Was driving with 16psi in one front wheel and barely noticed difference.

It's in the manual. The standard VR says 36/32 f/r. If your new tyres are the same WIDTH as standard then I don't believe you have any reason to vary these recommended pressures.

And since the Corrado has a *good* chassis you will KNOW when the tyre pressures are right. It will feel poised, balanced and grippy and have good turn in. You start to lose that responsiveness and your front tyres are down a couple of PSI.

32psi in the rear tyres isnt enough with 2 people in the back, they feel flat! And even without I put 35/40 f/r, doesnt hurt...
