fleur322 0 Posted August 24, 2005 My car as just failed its MOT on the r/h rear wishbone bush :( . I am going to attempt change the wishbone my self, but noticed the the front bolt in the wishbone is really close to the sump. Do you need any specialist tools or is it a case of removing the sump? Cheers Linz
stevemac 0 Posted August 24, 2005 Err - what model do you have ?? Not sure about the VR but on 4 cyl models, there's no need to go anywhere near the sump when changing the front wishbones.
h100vw 0 Posted August 24, 2005 Guess = VR. IIRC you need to jack up the engine, having undone the rear mount. Gavin

Taggart 0 Posted August 24, 2005 I did it with a 16mm spark plug socket and a 4 or 5 extensions. Real easy tho. Don't do what I did and assume it was just the little 13mm nut on top holding it together.
