zman240uk 0 Posted October 6, 2005 Is anyone out there running one of these on a VR6? If so, I would be interested to here your opinion on the following: - how reliable/durable is this setup. Assume it needs to be serviced, but how often. - what effect is it likely to have on fuel economy. Am I likely to notice a drop in mpg at motorway cruising speed (70-80mph). - are spares easy to come by should something go wrong? - any pitfalls? Any info gratefully recd. Thanks. Ken... gibber 0 Posted October 6, 2005 Gibber is! I got a gen 1 on mine and had no problems with it in the 5 ish years its been on there! Even drag racing it! As for fuel it only droped by a couple of mpg. corradovr6sc 0 Posted October 6, 2005 I ran a ZR2 for about 25k miles with no problems apart from having to replace the drive belt. I think the service inetrval is about 15k and the charger has to be removed. If your looking at a second-hand unit watch out for worn toothed pullies and oil leaks.
