task 0 Posted October 6, 2005 finally, after about 6 month's of not driving my corrado(due to a blown charger) , I went ahead yesterday and fitted the g-ladder , It took me 2 days to fit the thing in there, but I finally did it .. lots of thanks to the Corrado forum, I could'nt have done it without you guys. :) .but I still have a question though , can I run my car immediatley now, I am afraid that the new ladder will not be lubed well, it is been sitting for about 4 months and lots of oil came out of it during that period. do I have to add oil to it before I run it ?and where to put that oil?should it be synthetic?...thanks. steveo29 0 Posted October 6, 2005 if you crank the engine with the coil lead off that will fill her up..give it a couple of 30 sec blasts and away you go 2 DAYS??? i thought i was slow
h100vw 0 Posted October 6, 2005 Run the engine with the serpentine belt off until the oil drips out of the drain, Fit the drain and then the belt. Bob's your uncle. Gavin
sciroccotune 0 Posted October 6, 2005 Not sure how important this is, but you could always crank the car with the king lead disconnected to get oil moving? Or spray some ptfe spray in there as the guys with the bots return mod?
steveo29 0 Posted October 6, 2005 no ..dont go spraying stuff in there, the oil feed is for bearings...the ptfe spray is for the strips(which should already be done)
sciroccotune 0 Posted October 6, 2005 thats what i meant lol, doubt that ptfe and bearings is a good thing
