flusted 0 Posted October 8, 2005 42mm came standard on all corrados,50mm on golf 16vs. IMO avoid the 50mm as it makes your car sluggish till 5k. Ive tried every option and my car feels the most livliest with the very early golf 16v 41mm manifold with longer runners! VW used the smaller diameter inlets to boost torque as the corrado is heavier than the golf
Bobby 0 Posted October 8, 2005 def agree with that flusted

Rob Heath 0 Posted October 9, 2005 I got told that my 89 valver has got a 40mm inlet on it, its the one with a cast design on one of the flutes I personally thought that they only made the 42mm and 50mm??
ben16v 0 Posted October 9, 2005 Rob Heath, early c`s did come with 40mm, my g/f old one had the same with the castings, might try it out for an experiment
flusted 0 Posted October 10, 2005 The one with the casting is still 42mm but has longer runners than the later 42mm 1s,this is the 1 im using.
