C. Will Corrado G60 2 0 Posted November 2, 2005 Hi, I've been looking round my engine and have noticed an oil leak around the rocker cover and at the back below the FPR. Anyone have any ideas of what I may need to replace? I thought the back maybe the head gasket but the leak under the rocker cover would just be the rocker gasket yer? Any help would be appreciated. chris
Henny 0 Posted November 2, 2005 yup, you may want to simply try checking that the nuts which hold the rocker cover on are tight before changing anything... after that, I'd try a new rocker cover... they're simple and cheap to change and are known to leak with age... 8)
Lippy 0 Posted November 2, 2005 also is your dip stick lose, or the connection broken. I have a feeling that may be leaking from my car too...
pauliegannon 0 Posted November 3, 2005 I have an oil leak and would you believe I never thought of checking the dipstick. That could be the problem as the dipstick is broken on my Raddo. The whole undercarage looks filthy as a result of oil,is there any way of cleaning it up? C. Will Corrado G60 2 0 Posted November 3, 2005 Henny, Do the nuts that hold the rocker cover have to be tighten to a setting? And would I be right in saying that the rocker gasket for a 1H engine is the same as the PG engine? cheers
Henny 0 Posted November 3, 2005 IIRC it's 11Lb/Ft for the rocker nuts, but I just tend to do 'em tight by hand... The rocker cover IS identical... 8)
