sharlie1982 0 Posted December 8, 2005 My G60 tends to tickover at around 1200-1500rpm after being driven for 30mins+. When I check the screw at the back of the throttle body it always seems to work itself out. So I used to turn it in until the tickover was around 900rpm. This week, turning the screw seems to make little or no difference. Its just quite annoying sitting at traffic lights with engine revvin away, wasting optimax by the second!! Any other adjustments? Its fine when first started up?! stevemac 0 Posted December 8, 2005 Sounds like your "idle pin switch" on the back of your throttle body is either dead or not being depressed when your throttle linkage returns to it's resting position.

olly elworthy 0 Posted December 12, 2005 the screw will back out over time if the o ring on it has become old and hard not sealing properly and allowing the screw to come outwards, all by itself,, new o ring required,, find one aftermarket as vw only sell it complete with the screw,, mind you the screw is less than a fiver so not too bad!!
