Blue_Joe 0 Posted December 10, 2005 Start by making sure the rest of the car can handle it! Brakes and suspension. I have FK Silverline X coilovers on mine.

I bet it only has 8 valves too.. Turbo's or screw chargers not included.. There is certainly a couple of contenders for this prize! I'm not counting on reaching it, deep down I'm hoping, but it's one of those things that if you desperately try to break it you probably won't! So deep down I'm hoping but as long as all the effort gets a good result of torque, which is what I really want then I'll be more than happy!
g60greeny 0 Posted December 10, 2005 Blue_Joe, if you ever want to sell her...... sounds like you've got one sorted G there mate :notworthy:

BigTartanJudge 0 Posted February 12, 2006 Complete G60 lumps go for between £800-£1250 depending on condition of charger and mileage etc., average is about £1000 if everthing is included. i.e. engine / gearbox / loom/ ECU and charger has been rebuilt. One for sale on edition38 just now for £950: http://www.edition38.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=31219 Cheers and HTH
veeDuB_Rado 0 Posted February 13, 2006 You could turbo it, but technically speaking it wont be a G60 no more. :)
Jim 2 Posted February 13, 2006 Indeed.. it'll just be a turbocharged 8v lump! Sam surely has to come damn close.. guess we'll find out on the RR day assuming he puts his wallet away as soon as the latest round of work is completed and doesn't start any more tinkering projects on it ;)
Blue_Joe 0 Posted February 13, 2006 No more for the time being for me - even my little surprise mod has had to go on hold as with my leg all bust up I need to be resting up not tinkering on the car!

_leon_ 0 Posted February 13, 2006 make sure your charger is in top condition and then just get an engine to work on. As said earlier though, you've got to account for A LOT more money first to get the car in form before fitting go faster bits. think suspension, brakes, cooling, all drivetrain inc gearbox, pipework, sensors, exhaust, bodywork (no point in modding a rust bucket)... the list could go on forever I've spent k's on mine and haven't yet got the stage where I'm happy to start seriously modding it to get it to go quicker.
