Mr Engine Tuner

My mate has told me about some matey that tunes cars, he says it costs £40 and that the car will feel alot different and better, he also tells me the economy will be better.

 

It all sounds good to me and i was just wandering wot u peeps think about it ?

 

Shall i let him loose on my beast or do you think there are better things to spend the 40 squids on to pamper my VR ?

depends entirely on his reputation and accountability. unless someone on here has dealt directly with him no one is going to be able to tell you anything you don't already know.

I see your point but i live on a little island so im pretty sure no one will know him.

 

Do you know wot sort of things are involved in tuning an engine ?

Yup, gotta be a good idea as i only bought the car a few weeks ago.

 

Anywayz, wots £40 when its being spent on my no1 ride. (only jokin gfriend, i meant no2)

 

I jump in, slam the tunes up and im in a different world till i realize ive just spent my last money on petrol. :mad:

IMHO spend the £40 on your girl friend. What can he do for £40 ? if things need fixing it will cost you in parts, a lot more, if its runing OK leave it and take out the girl friend.

 

If you feel a desperate need to check it out see if you can get a diagonestic(?) low down from VW or VAG specialist.

i somehow doubt this guy would be able to change(supply & fit) the spark plugs and air-filter for less than £40,and as the VR isn't tweakable(other than a chip change,cams etc).....exactly what does he reckon he can do for your £40........just my £0.02p's worth
