iow_corrado_g60 0 Posted March 2, 2006 hi all i have just noticed this awfull squealing on right quite hard lock! my intial thought was wheel bearing? i then thought that it could possibly the squeal plate on the brakes letting me know i need some new pads very soon or one last option my offside cv boot needs changing! can i just have some views from you experts please! as i dont want to pay to get bearing change if not needed! thanks andy Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

chrishill 0 Posted March 2, 2006 when i first got my valver many moons ago the PAS belt needed changing and it made a bit of a squeal when on full lock, also the steering when parking was pretty heavy. I would have thought if it was the brakes you'd be able to 'feel' something while braking, I know I could when mine were going. The more common noise with a wheel baring going is a drone... so i'll stick with what I said and suggest you get the PAS belt and pump checked if topping up the fluid doesnt help.
