The Order Of Things!

Recommended Posts

Things I'm planning to do on my C. Just wondering which is the best order to do it in? I'd like the bodywork done I reckon, in time for the summer but what do you think?

1, Bodyshop visit - All I want doing (£550)

2, Koni & H&R Sus Kit Fitted (£550 est)

3, Camber adjustment (£150 VW)

4, Injectors cleaned and flow tested (£250 inc removal and put back)

5, Reverse Parking Sensors (£200 fitted, little sensors in rear bumper, not num plate)

6, Fix pass heated electric seat (£??)

7, Regas/repair Aircon (£65 if its just a regas, although poss getting done sat as I'm nr the guy in Leeds)

Wow, longer than I thought! First time I've written it down!

Feel free to add anything I've missed thats a good thing to do. Wanting to keep it pretty standard looking, or OEM+ as the term appears to be!

How much !!! you must be kidding, you can get new for that surely?

£21 per injector (6) plus £120ish to take them out at my garage and then 2 days later put them back in again. Apparently you have to remove the inlet manifold and various bits to get them out.

Brand new from VW each injector is £93!

Agree with injectors, the only thing that I have to add is that there is a bit of rust on the rear seams so I do want the bodywork doing as soon as I can.

Ahhh, decisions decisions!

Personally I'd be sorting the chassis first with the suspension and geometry set-up. Following that I'd do the engine stuff before fitting the reversing sensors. Then I'd take it to the bodyshop. Do the seat and air-con 'whenever'.

Trouble is, I want it all shiney for the summer! :)

Aircon getting done sat as I'm next to the guy that does it and for the sake of £65 I might as well.

I suppose it was more of an after the bodywork order of things.

£35? Sounds more like tracking to me than a camber adjustment. £75 for the readout and another £75 if it needs adjusting.
