GRINGOG60 0 Posted September 9, 2003 Hi Dubcharged, My engines state of tune is- R1 charger from jabba sport (includes induction kit), AMD chip + De cat + exhaust and 68mm pulley- do you think it would benefit from these injectors? + how much are they if so? + ANy idea on what sort of plugs i should be using? Sorry for all the questions! But you know your stuff! :D
Dubcharged 0 Posted September 9, 2003 You only need to go for the bigger injectors if you are making at least 16psi peak boost. Plugs, you should have Bosch W6DPO. OR you can go one step colder since you have got higher than standard boost and power, the colder ones are W5DPO. :D
W3RKD 0 Posted September 9, 2003 W5DPO These are polo g40 plugs ....?
Dubcharged 0 Posted September 10, 2003 I dont know if they are used in Polo's but basically they are one step colder than the W6's. It made a difference going colder in my Rallye since its tuned, colder plugs have shorter insulation noses so basically will transfer heat out of the cylinder chamber more quickly. This also results in less probability of pinking, but if you go too cold then the plugs will foul during idle/low throttle. Try one step colder than standard if you have tuned your G60/VR6 etc (and by tuned i dont mean just a cone filter  ) Anyone using other than Bosch needs to check the heat scale since for Bosch , colder is denoted by a lower number whereas NGK's denote colder plugs with higher numbers :?
