smithy220 0 Posted April 4, 2006 ive got an fse fpr from my rover 220turbo with remote rail adaptor which fits the g60 rail so it should be fine when i get the fuel pressure sorted does any body have any pics of fpr instalations as im unsure of one pipe that comes of the fuel rail just after oe fpr
kongo127 0 Posted April 4, 2006 I´m not quite sure, but as i have read adjustable fuel pressure regulators don´t seem to work very good on G60 engines. You should go for the 3.5 bar Bosch one. But give it a try anyway! :)
smithy220 0 Posted April 4, 2006 yeah ive heard lots of negative stuff about fse fpr not being suited to various engines.when i had my rover 220turbo there was much debate on how thease performed or didnt speaking from my own experience i found them to be a worthwile addition to my engine bay and the rolling road figures spoke for them selves as the fpr combined with a fuel cut deffender allowed fueling throughout the range
2_Door_fun 0 Posted April 4, 2006 I have an FSE sitting new in a box. Had it for the old Saab Turbo. Never fitted it as you had to butcher the original fuel lines.. I read that variable regulators can do strange things on 60 engines. Erratic fuel pulse. Which when used with a chipped ECU makes it difficult to map due to the varying deliverey of fuel I could be talking cobblers though. I do recon its better to have a flat fuel deliverey pressure to map from.
h100vw 0 Posted April 5, 2006 Which when used with a chipped ECU makes it difficult to map due to the varying delivery of fuel This is true. I wouldn't fit it. there is no need. Even fitting a 3.5 Bar one needs to be done with the right chip or it'll over fuel like a good 'n. Gavin
GazzaG60 0 Posted April 5, 2006 the only reason i see for a FSN not to be right is its rising rate of 1.7:1 rather than 1:1 on boost. this would need a different map all together. sts is 1:1 id expect rich conditions in boost and maybe even stuttering at the top end.
