Junior Jackson 0 Posted April 10, 2006 Anyone help? Just want to know major differences between head and block etc - question is can I swap 1H (former rallye) engine into '92 G60 rado? Thanks, Chris.
steveo29 0 Posted April 10, 2006 rallye engine is smaller capacity to meet the rallye specs of the day bigger head bolts on rallye and a few minor bit n bobs if your bolting in the whole lump, yeah it a straight swap
dinkus 10 Posted April 10, 2006 C. Will Corrado G60 2 has a Rallye engine swap in his G60, but I don't think it's exactly standard.
Junior Jackson 0 Posted April 10, 2006 Thanks for the comments. It'd just be a temp measure whilst the G60 lump gets rebuilt - are there any issues at all with swapping them out? Nothing's every THAT easy for me... Chris.
Henny 0 Posted April 11, 2006 it'll be a straight swap if you're using the Corrado gearbox... (mine's a 1H blokc) You WILL have to change a couple of bolts that hold the gearbox onto the engine though as they're bigger on the Rallye engine as the box needed more attaching being a 4wd version... There's an older thread HERE that had most of the details discussed in it previously... 8)
