aaaaahhhhhh my charger just blew up!!!

hi all,

 

My bloody charger has blown up and i have been trying to source a replacement but only have around 750 quid to spend.

 

Can anyone help?

 

Tried contacting some brakers but the sem to go the same ay the car comes in.

 

any help would be appriciated.

Jeez - what mileage was it on / had it been rebuilt?

 

You should be able to pick a second hand one up for about £350 if you look around but that would then need a rebuild... remember it's not just a case of sticking it on tho - the intake system will have to be thoroughly cleaned and you will need to blank off the boost return pipe.

omg i'd start crying mine needs one asap! thats made me wanna get it done about 10x more!

 

 

Dude, i've just got mine back from Darren and i'm as chuffed as a dog with two dicks, get it done for peace of mind ( and engine bling-ness :) )

As far as i know it's done around 25k but it looks like it's done 80k.

 

The cheapest one i could find was on ebay for 700 quid for a reconditioned one.

 

Any of you guys got one in a near by srappy?

The engraved part is my reg, must of been done when sent to jabba.

Rang jabba they wanted 1200 quid plus vat and the said they will only supply & fit not just supply the charger.

Just rang g werks and spoke to rob and they have got a second hand one which will be serviced for 662 quid delivered. so in a matter of a few post's on here looks like i will have one soon as.

jam3383, Superb - thats what it's all about...

 

I'd get a new oil line and boost return kit off them too...

 

I don't think there is a guide but I'd get some advice of Darren if your fitting yourslef - I think the intercooler needs to blown out with an airline and all boost pipes will need to be cleaned...
