Recommended Posts

Not normally a fan of Scoobys, but that looks like a minter mate 8)

Whats the insurance and general running costs like? ie petrol!

Insurance is quite a bit mor ethan the rad but as for petrol, seems to be the same as the G60 as long as i dont get carried away

s.g - Liking the wagon, som eof them out there are cool as fork

Had a guy in the shop the other day enquiring to see if we could get new discs for his WRX-after a few phone calls,it turns out that they are dealer only parts-at £200 PER SIDE!!

And thats without labour on top.

Not entirely true, Tar-ox do ceramic discs for the WRX, not cheap though, £740 for the discs, £200 for the pads. They also do 6 and 10 pot conversions for £1100-£2100

niiiiiiiice! maybe its my 'inner chav' but i still get the horn for things with silly spoilers and mad power. Always liked the wagon versions myself, i suppose they have a slightly less boy-racer image... not that it matters!

Nice motor. The STi V.5 is probably the nicest out there. The 22B will always be that bit more special as it's rarer, and looks awesome with the wide body and the superb 2.2l engine. Glad I'm not the only one to go from a C to a Scooby :D

Just a few things, dealer rates are IRO £80/hr, which are comparable to VAG methinks. Independent specialists such as Scoobyclinic start at £25/hr.

Discs for a WRX can be had from SAP for between £22 and £45 dependant on model/year.

The wagon which was recently on 5th Gear was a Forester STi, which although based on the Impreza floorpan, engine and drivetrain, is actually a different car. You can get Impreza Wagons though, but not STi ones anymore. CLICKY
