Henny 0 Posted July 24, 2006 just picked up a set of Beru plugs from GSF this morning... They're the Polo G40 ones and came in at a whopping £2.43 each to me! Just got to change the fuel pump, filter, plugs, dizzy cap and rotor arm and see if that's gonna get her running on 4 cylinders again... 8)

Henny 0 Posted July 24, 2006  got halfords ones on at the moment  I hasten to add, not through choice, they were the only ones I could get to prove that they weren't the problem in the first place... the genuine ones I was using will be going back on along with these plugs... 8)

Nick 0 Posted July 25, 2006 Yep - they are a fiver from VW, cheaper than the sixes... When i tried to buy some 6's from my local stealers, they wanted to charge me £60 for 4 spark plugs. I told em them i didnt think so! I think i may get some 5's. Thanks for the thread and info people. :notworthy:
Polo Classic 0 Posted July 25, 2006 Shaggsy, well if you think the W5DP0 are cheaper, you might want to think again You can get cheaper plugs that will work, but they wont work as long, so you'd be better off with some platinum plugs. They normally last 3-4 times as long as copper plugs
