vr6storm 0 Posted August 25, 2006 pardon??? :D sorry yer caps lock is on which is the equivilent of shouting anyway the G/box ECU from memory doesn't have a memory function such as remembering differing driving styles by different ppl............its possibly just needing a new sensor or more simply a change in autobox fluid
vr6storm 0 Posted August 25, 2006 ..........oh and 22mpg if its round town is reasonably good for an auto VR

fla 9 Posted August 25, 2006 You can reset the auto box by the following: ignition on engine off press the accelerator to the floor and hold for 10 seconds release accelerator and start engine directly. Do not turn off before starting. That will reset teh box. It adapts to your driving style so you will need to go through a brief setup using different gear changes. vr6storm 0 Posted August 25, 2006 blimey you learn something new every day................i was always under the impression it wasn't "adaptive" and just a conventional slushbox

double-6s 0 Posted August 26, 2006 22mpg around TOWN for an auto vr6 would be pretty darn good to be honest. Most manuals won't do that round town. The autos are thirsty as fek!
fla 9 Posted August 26, 2006 double-6s, i get about 23-24 on mine, around town, but then the MFA is prob about a few MPG too high anyway.
