flusted 0 Posted August 30, 2006 Just fitted a charge air temp gauge. Checked outside temp and it was approx 20deg,then whilst driving at approx 40mph i was seeing approx 23degrees? Guess that means the front mount intercooler is working well? Did notice sat at a junction,it did creep up to 27degrees,but as soon as i started moving it just drops right down to 23ish. I tried flooring it aswell and it stays about the same! What do you reckon?
Blue_Joe 0 Posted August 30, 2006 where did you mount yours? And how did you mount the sensor in the airflow - pics would be good as I have to do mine!
flusted 0 Posted August 30, 2006 I just took out 1 of the blanks and it fits perfect in there. Then i filed a slit in my co pot,ran the wires down the slit and then insulation taped it round. Difference is, i have my co pot pushed in a samco dumpvalve outlet! Il go and take pics now

flusted 0 Posted August 31, 2006 ran the live from the ignition, and spliced into an earth i have for boot switch. I want another 1 now to see ambient rather than the mfa
g60bv 0 Posted August 31, 2006 wow that is good going. i run a charge cooler and on the motor way cruising its 10'c above ambient. sitting in traffic it can get to 15'c. proves it really. fmic is THE way to go. oh but when the water inj kicks in it drops to about 10'c below ambient.. i put my sensor straight into the throttle body. its been in there about 3 years. what i/c are you using. rallye / golf or a made up one.?
