dnac 0 Posted January 24, 2007 I was wondering how the fan switch works that is attached to the rocker cover on the 16v engines I take it is some sort of temperature activated switch, but is this based on engine bay temp or the rocker cover temp. The reason I am asking is that I believe mine is not working, as in tracffic the temp goes right up, to around 100 deg I have taken the wire off the switch and earthed it and the fan does come on, so either its broke, or as I have painted the rocker cover, perhaps its not seeing the correct temperature?
