Louie Lungbubble 0 Posted February 19, 2007 Had an absolute stinker last week. 2 months after the head gasket on the C going, I somehow managed to blow the one on the Audi last monday night! Cue the rest of the week off with a set of sockets, axle stands, skinned knuckles and a dose of man-flu to boot, and I've come out the other side with a fixed car and a degree in "in at the deep end" mechanics. So pleased with my little self when I turned the key and she fired up first time, as proir to tackling this my mechanical knowledge was a bit on the lean side to say the least. A few stressful moments followed when I thought the gamble to not get the head skimmed hadn't payed off, as the coolant was pressurising, but one dodgy stat getting volleyed accross the garden later, and all was fine. Tell you what, that Vince bloke better watch his back. There's a new spanner monkey in town!
