double-6s 0 Posted March 20, 2007 Anyone have any experience of this? I've read a bit recently about standalone and some of them have special provision for nitrous control? And dual mapping for nitrous? Any good??? Only asking out of curiosity. Cheers

eatthis 0 Posted March 20, 2007 i thought nos put the extra fuel in itself?
mrbeige 0 Posted March 20, 2007 i thought nos put the extra fuel in itself? In standalone kits I think that is the case with fuel injectors as well as nos injectors, but if the management has dual mapping capability then the extra fuel injectors aren't required. double-6s 0 Posted March 20, 2007 i thought nos put the extra fuel in itself? Dry kit - nos added to intake and ecu adds fuel. Wet kit - the nos kit takes a seperate fuel feed itself. I think......
2_Door_fun 0 Posted March 20, 2007 i thought nos put the extra fuel in itself? You can ger 'wet' & 'dry' systens. I have a wet system waiting to go on my new 60. It was fitted to my previous 60. The 2nd line blends in the plenum via a fogger nozzle. Wet systems are aparentley better than dry as it stops the engine running leane. Don't koe nowt about stand alone fuel systems though

Kevin Bacon 5 Posted March 21, 2007 The recently released DTA S80 is a nice Standalone. I've got it's predecessor, the P8 Pro on mine and it's a nice bit of kit. NOS isn't my bag but you can do plenty with NOS and a DTA.
dinkus 10 Posted March 21, 2007 The latest release of the Emerald ECU can do 3 separate maps that can be switched betwen on the fly, plus you've also got misc aux inputs and outputs on the ECU that can be used for triggering/sensing the nos.
