BeavisJem 0 Posted April 22, 2007 Got a Corrado G60 on standard suspension with 17" rims. I have noticed lately its pulling to the right under breaking and acceleration. If I brake from speed its fine but breaking from about 30 the steering wants to wander to the right. When I accelerate it wants to pull right as well, there is a lot of torque steer but it doesn’t feel right. I made a previous post regarding the rear end being twitchy and I am going to replace the rear axel bushes. I had 4 wheel alignment done about a year ago. I did hit a pothole about 3 months ago and punctured a tyre from it. This was the front driver’s side wheel. When I changed the wheel it seemed fine but in the last few weeks it becoming really noticeable. What would be the best course of action? Cheers Beavis
Andi 2,147,483,647 Posted April 22, 2007 If you hit a pot hole with enough force to puncture a tyre, I think another alignment check would be in order. As it was only the front, you only need a cheap front alignment check... If the alignment was whacked out, its probably been pulling and pulling and making it worse over the past 3 months. Running 17s also means your alignment needs to be spot on, or the car will choose its own course a lot of the time ;)
craziscot 0 Posted April 22, 2007 Check your track rods as well, recently had mine changed due to a bit of light collision damage thanks to an idiotic Royal Mail driver! Tightened up the handling quite a bit.
