Rob_B 0 Posted June 11, 2007 evening all, i seem to have a lot of blue smoke coming from my exhaust and have hard acceleration. what does this mean, and how am i going to get it sorted? many thanks, discerning corrado owner
dinkus 10 Posted June 11, 2007 Blue smoke is oil being burnt in the engine but not sure what the common culprits are on a G. Could be the charger though - when was the last time you had it rebuilt?
Rob_B 0 Posted June 11, 2007 well it was rebuilt about 10,000 miles ago and i hadn't even thought of that to be honest. i will check the boost pipes tomorrow but i should imagine that it won't be as easy as that! it would be nice though! keep the thoughts and opinions coming guys i suppose i haven't done any work on the car for a couple of weeks, its time to get dirty :brickwall:
PhillT 0 Posted June 13, 2007 Could be the valve stem oil seals in the head, what's the milage and has it had any top end work? maybe the head gasket leaking oil into the bores which is getting burnt or worst case it could be the piston rings letting oil past I'd guess it'll be the first if the charger's in good shape
flusted 0 Posted June 13, 2007 Could be blocked breather pipes?
