Aircon - How much to fit?

I'm looking to buy a VR but most of them i've seen dont have aircon. I know that most cars that did was dealer fitted when new. Will i be able to fir one in without spending fortunes or am i better buying one with?

Judging by how hard it was to get mine out, i'd say it would be a hell of a job to retro-fit.

i have an original invoice for £1500 for fitting of the aircon

Buy a car with it already fitted. That way somebody else has done all the hard work and you get the benefits.

I put a wanted add on this forum and have got a 2nd hand kit out of a VR for about £300.

That's including all the parts need to put it back in (hopefully!)

All I need to do now is get it fitted - will let you know the cost when it's finally in....
