Chris-Vspec 0 Posted October 1, 2007 Hi All I am new to the forum. I have in the last few days bought a 94 Corrado 2.0 16v and love it. It puts the biggest smile on my face everytime I drive it :D One thing I have noticed is that it idles quite irratic, sometimes it idles at 3,000 rpm, sometimes 1,500rpm, sometimes 900rpm and sometimes at 500rpm it has also stalled on me a few times!! Does anyone have an idea about how I can sort this problem out. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks Chris
easypops 8 Posted October 1, 2007 check all the hoses between the mass air flow meter(maf) and the throttle body....especially the 2 thin pipes that connect to the underside of the pipe at the throttle body.....take the idle speed control valve(isv) off and clean it with carb cleaner or similar......check the wiring on the plug that plugs onto the throttle potentiometer. if you use the search you will find all these things and many more......bad idiling is very common good luck.....and welcome
