nickeboy 0 Posted January 19, 2008 i have a 93 vr recently the steering has begun to creak, more to one side than the other and more noticable when slow or stationary ie more resistance, i have noticed a little steering fluid level drop ( from max to min in six months), but am not convinced it is the prob! any one had experience with this, is it good to drive for a while? many thanks Nick
Lufbramatt 0 Posted January 20, 2008 has creaky steering when turning to right at slow speeds- turned out it was a fubared top mount. When we took the strut out the bearings fell out on the floor! new VAG top mounts= no more creaks :D
