corraptor_evo 0 Posted February 22, 2008 Do a Syncro system suport 500HP? I allready upgraded my G60 C with a syncro system (from a '91 Passat) and I'm preparing my C for over 500 BHP from a VR6 engine base: 3.0L overbore, Garret T60-1, forged pistons(Wiseco), conrods (Panchi), rods (ARP), 440 ccm injectors, Sachs Racing Clutch stage III etc. I allready bougt a VR6 syncro gear box (CSR), but I want to know: Do this Syncro system (VR6 gearbox+VC+G60 syncro rear dif) suport 500HP? Which part is weak? Please, any answer is a real support for me! Thank you all!
blue95 0 Posted February 22, 2008 Nope syncro maxes out at 300bhp, anything else and you will be on borrowed time. For big power consider haldex
corraptor_evo 0 Posted February 22, 2008 I thought so! But the gearbox will resist?
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted February 22, 2008 The 02A gearbox isn't that strong, can only take about 350whp reliabley. These guys aren't far from you and make very strong gearsets for the 02A :- http://www.sqsracing.com 800whp no problem. But the gear casing might shatter. 02M is the strongest box. I know of someone putting over 400hp through a Rallye synchro with no problem so far.....

CoxyLaad 0 Posted March 5, 2008 bear in mind haldex is not compatible with 02A...
corraptor_evo 0 Posted March 10, 2008 bear in mind haldex is not compatible with 02A... That means I need a 02M? But 02M is compatible with VR6 engine?
