Critical_Mass 10 Posted March 1, 2008 Can someone please confirm what year VRs with dizzys stopped being made and coil packs were being fitted? I have a 93 VR which has a coilpack, am i correct in thinking the VRs were produced from 92> but only a year of producing them with a distributor? CazzaVR 0 Posted March 2, 2008 sounds about right. I've had two K-reg VR6s and the 1992 one had a coilpack, but the 1993 one (my current one) has a coilpack.
dr_mat 0 Posted March 2, 2008 I actually thought the coil pack VRs were much later than that, mid-94 onwards only .. but well I could be wrong.
CazzaVR 0 Posted March 2, 2008 You are wrong!
dr_mat 0 Posted March 2, 2008 So there are cars out there with coil packs and OBD1 (hot wire) MAFs then?

Roger Blassberg 0 Posted March 2, 2008 And just to prove it, I have one. First registered 28 January 1994, a very auspicious day for both of us as it was a "significant" birthday for me. Best wishes RB

was8v 0 Posted March 2, 2008 My previous C VR6 was a late 1993 L plate - OBD I and coilpack. Current VR is a late 1992 K plate - OBD I and Dizzy.

Critical_Mass 10 Posted March 2, 2008 My VR was registered on june 1993 and is coilpack and hotwire MAF. How does the other MAF work?
dr_mat 0 Posted March 2, 2008 all corrado vr's are obd1 Absolutely true, and I never said they weren't. But late VR6s have OBD2-style hot film MAF and a few other OBD2 features too.
