Eaton M62 Charger on 16vg60 should i ditch the g?

Recommended Posts

Im tempted to ditch the g-lader and replace with an eaton m62.

I know they are known for heating the charge air up but i have a huge FMIC and water injection.

Do i bother or not?

Im currently running a 68mm pulley on a stage 4 charger but dont want to over-rev it and thought the eaton might handle it better?

From what i've heard, the Eaton cannot compare at all to a stage 4 / ported G-lader. The G is better in making boost and general efficiency.

Have a look on the vortex, there's tons of posts on it.

There's nothing quite like asking for advice then ignoring all of it! I'll be interested to see what the Eaton can do though.

Sorry, was thinking of the wrong Eaton! apparently the M62 is quite a good un, although has been nicknamed the HEATON! :pale:

Luckily, you have an FMIC the size of Peru so you should be alright with it. Apart from the charge heat, the M62 seems to be a bulletproof and well made charger.

I know it sounds silly but my reasons for change are

1. Need the cash to carry on with car so selling the g should cover it

2. The merc charger i got from a clk for £100

3. I like the sound they make
