fla 9 Posted April 21, 2008 Does anyone know what the flywheel bolt torques should be - there's no mention in Bentley? I'm guessing at least 100Nm.. These are the 8 or so bolts below the chains cover. For a VR btw. Thanks

H8RRA 0 Posted April 21, 2008 what a damn coincidence - i've just come out of the garage to check my bentley manual on cd for flywheel torque bolt settings.... bizarre
fla 9 Posted April 21, 2008 Thanks for that guys. Its actually the centre 6 bolt holes as shown in H8rra's diag, where there arent any bolts (if that makes sense :cuckoo: ) I need to use these for the torque converter back plate, but i'm sure you manual transmission guys also use it to mount the flywheel? Supercharged 2 Posted April 21, 2008 Yeah - that 60Nm + 90 Degrees is correct and you must use new bolts (come with locking compound) There is a bulitin about this, apparently the original figures on G60's were 30Nm and the bolts were coming loose
