cdem 0 Posted May 19, 2008 So whats wrong with the kent cams then?
flusted 0 Posted May 19, 2008 nothing wrong with them, just not as good a scrick. the schrick is a split duration
junkie 0 Posted May 19, 2008 What exactly does the split duration do/mean compared to my Piper 285?
dirtytorque 0 Posted May 19, 2008 split duration as I understand means that the inlet valves and exhaust valves have different durations.
flusted 0 Posted May 20, 2008 yeah i think as above, so 1 set of 4 valves stay open for longer than the other 4.( not sure wheather its inlet or exhaust though). Give a smooth idle but power everywhere
Neil VR6 0 Posted May 20, 2008 I had a Newman cam which I was pleased with on my G - G Werks set it up for me with a Schrick map and it worked a treat. You could always get Newman to grind you a Scrick profiled cam. You pay a lot of money for the brand with Schrick - it's only a lump of machined metal after all
flusted 0 Posted May 20, 2008 think they are about £220 from g-werks
