It's been sat too long...

Recommended Posts

The Corrado has been sat on the driveway for about 3 months now, i have recharged the battery and put it in. When i put the key in the ignition the relay (167) starts to buzz, the dash lights don't come on! - what could this be...? the car will not start, doesn't even try! i thank you for your help

Yeah, check the battery for sure!

Dash lights are LED and don't need much to go on, so I'd say the battery is dead.....still :brickwall:

Then I think your charger is pushing up daisies ..

Or (extremely unlikely) your battery won't accept charge. If the battery was genuinely gone, I'd expect to see less than 11.6V. Try another charger.

check your charge by shorting it. If it trips and resets then you should be ok. Also, it should spark when you short the croc clips. Put the voltmeter across it to see the output you get and put an ammeter in-line to see the current when connected to a load (eg your battery)
