IansCorrado 0 Posted September 13, 2008 I am looking at changing my Corrado 16v to carbs and wondered what forum members thought of these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MK1-MK2-GOLF-16v- ... 286.c0.m14 Sorry the link is a long one! Cheers Ian
mrbeige 0 Posted September 13, 2008 I think Bike carbs are the way forward. A mate of mine stuck GXR carbs on his 9A engine and saw 174bhp from a standard block with KR cams :D Dooooooo iiiiiittttt !!!

boost monkey 0 Posted September 14, 2008 Yeah, shocking! Are those Keihin carbs? been a while since I saw some. The long inlet tracts on that manifold should aid torque. 38mm is about right for a standard 16v head too, heavily ported ones can take 45s i think but they're normally choked down a little. bike carbs work much better than normal carbs. the opening is a slider mechanism so when at WOT, there is no venturi plate or anything blocking flow! very clever :)
