joebloggsVR69 0 Posted October 1, 2008 The cigarette lighter aircon buttons aren't £140! I bought one from my local $tealers a few weeks ago for about £55. Still pricey, but not £140 :) The cigarette lighter trim with the holes for the aircon buttons was another £20... :(
Steve Storm 0 Posted October 1, 2008 I've looked up the price for A/C switch and trim prices that I paid and they came to as follows. • Heater A/C Control Trim - Part No. 535 919 383 E $14.00 • Cigarette Holder For A/C Vehicles - Part No.. 535 863 284 B $146.00 So, all the parts with $25 shipping came to $185 which was something like £90. Not £140 that I thought it was but still a high cost but I used to these prices after 9 years of Corrado ownership. :|
joebloggsVR69 0 Posted October 1, 2008 Just found my reciept, I bought: 535 959 543 - aircon switches above cigarette lighter, £50.28 535 863 284B 01C - cigarette lighter trim with holes for aircon buttons, £3.70 I have no idea how you were quoted $146 for the cigarette lighter trim!!!
Crando_calrisian 0 Posted October 11, 2008 hey guys, can anyone tell me where I can get the switches from? I have the lighter trim with the holes and the heater trim with Air condition written on it but do not have the switches. I was going to try to retro fit the original VW switches to the Diavia kit as they both say norm and max, has anyone else done this?
fla 9 Posted October 11, 2008 A slight aside, when you press the aircon buttons does anythig show you that Norm or Max have been pressed? I changed mine all to blue a few years back, but at the moment mine just stay blue whether they are pressed or not.

And certainly didn't pay £140 for them. viewtopic.php?f=19&t=60981
Crando_calrisian 0 Posted October 12, 2008 Sweet :) I prefer the look of them and I am going to install my heated seat loom soon so that dash slot will be used up. Did you get yours from vagparts then? I think I may have to give them a ring or e-mail and see if they are still available.
Rick 0 Posted October 14, 2008 Yes mate I did, take your time when making the braket so the buttons work smoothly.
krnau 0 Posted October 28, 2008 last question for those with late style interior and aircon... does anyone know where are the aircon switches (max & min) plugged in?
