cvw74 0 Posted December 6, 2008 Is it possible to get a shallow sump for the VR6? So I can not drive like a nervous wreck :D
dukest 0 Posted December 7, 2008 to be honest i always find that the cat guard is the thing that scrapes first on mine. if you want a different sump, kev (cheesewire) did a write up on the VR6 Owners Club forum about whats needed to fit the r32 sump which is angled and marginally shallower (although ironically more prone to damage due to what its made of).. _leon_ 0 Posted December 7, 2008 search for baffled sump on here - youll find the thread that has the r32 sump discussion as john says - its shaped differently - and will actually sit above the subframe - so hitting it would be extremely unfortunate. the main draw to it though is the fact its baffled. i've fitted it and had no problems - its a good mod. coullstar 0 Posted December 7, 2008 Note this must be a Mk5 R32 sump not the Mk4 as I found out. You need the oil pick up and pump as well. The baffled sump topic will tell you the part numbers.
